Do I need a boating license?
No license required! All our boats are equipped with a Yamaha 40+ hp engine and can be operated without a license, provided you are at least 21 years old.
What if I don’t have much experience on the lake?
No problem at all. Before departure, we provide a full briefing where we explain everything you need to know. We’ll go through the lake map together, showing you where to go and the best spots to explore, and we’ll also cover all the technical aspects of driving the boat. Our goal is to make you feel confident, safe, and ready to fully enjoy your experience.
Can we join a tour as a family with children?
Yes! Our boats are family-friendly, and we provide life jackets for them.
What kind of boat will I get?
You’ll receive a comfortable, license-free open motorboat – suitable for 5 to 6 people – from one of our available models.
We work with Marinello 16/17/18 Open, but the exact model depends on availability at the time of your rental.
All boats are:
- Easy to handle
- Equipped with swimming platform, sunshade, and coolbox
- Powered by Yamaha 40+ hp engines
- Fully fueled and ready to go
Where do rentals start and end?
Boats are delivered from the Lido Cannobio beach or harbor, and return must be made to the same location. You will get a full briefing the day of the rental!
Is fuel included?
- All boats are delivered with a full tank
- Fuel is not included in the rental price
A fuel deposit of €50–€100 is required at departure. You will pay for fuel at a rate of €2.20 per liter (depending on fuel prices).
How long can I rent a boat for?
2-Hours rental:
- 10:00 - 12:00
- 12:00-14:00
- 14:00 - 16:00
Half-day rental: 4 hours
- 10:00–14:00
- 14:00–18:00
Full-day rental: 8 hours
- 10:00–18:00
Multi-day rentals: Available on request, but the boat must return to Lido Cannobio every night unless otherwise agreed.
Can I dock anywhere?
No. Docking is only allowed at Lido Pier when returning the boat. Most of the docking stations are private, and reaching them without a license would be complicated and time-consuming. It would also take away from the enjoyment of your experience on the water.
Unauthorized docking can cause damage and is the renter’s full responsibility.
Are tow sports or waterskiing allowed?
No, regional regulations prohibit tow sports (waterski, wakeboard, etc.) for rental boats. These activities require special equipment and certifications.
What documents do I need to bring?
You must have:
- A valid ID or passport
- If applicable, a boating license (only for other boats – not needed here)
Each boat is equipped with a detailed map of the lake, all required documents in case of inspection, and insurance coverage.
Can I bring my dog on board?
Yes, dogs are always welcome on board! To help us maintain the highest level of cleanliness, we kindly ask you to bring a blanket for your dog to sit on or consider leaving a small tip for our boatsman at the end of your rental.
